Hi I’m Rachel,
Herbalist, Naturopath, Plant Spirit Medicine Practitioner and Womb Awakening Facilitator and founder WiseRoots ~ School of Sacred Medicine.
My deep love of Mother Earth guided my pathway into the healing arts with formal studies in herbal medicine, followed by an apprenticeship with 3rd generation herbalist Arthur Hyde back in 1997.
This was the doorway to an ever-evolving dance with the plants, who knew the depths of the journey ahead.
Deeply inspired by the healing power of the plants, I loved running a busy clinic, supporting health and wellness with natural medicines, yet there was something missing, a deeper yearning. My move to Australia was the catalyst for transformation, the great awakener.
Two years into my move with my family, I was going through a messy divorce, a single Mum with two children, yet the deepest grief of this time, was beyond what I could fully comprehend, a feeling of complete displacment – ‘being on the land but not of the land’ A cavern of grief opened within me.
This portal of grief was my descent into the feminine realms of surrender, calling in the Soul medicine of the plants.
Through my plant spirit medicine apprenticeship with my wonderful teacher and Shaman Eliot Cowan, a profound and rich journey with the natural world and plant spirits began to unfold, gifting healing within the deepest recesses of my heart and soul. A sense of coming home to myself and to the land here in Australia, sprang forth from this profound medicine of relationship with the land and the plants, a truly humbling gift to experience.

The shamanic pathway was a deep dive into my own healing edges, re-awakening the magic of relationship with the Divine natural world. I love immersing myself within the great mystery, weaving magic and ceremony through plant connection, ritual, shamanic journey, story and feminine mysteries to share journeys of healing and transformation with my sisters, from the medicine I have embodied from my own healing path.
I am a deeply passionate supporter of women rebirthing themselves through their cyclical body wisdom. I love to facilitate a deep & vibrant relationship with the natural world, the elements and the plants, as a portal to re-awaken your feminine consciousness, remembering your Sacred relationship with your body, the plants and Mumma Earth. Reclaiming the treasury of ancient wisdom that resides within.
This is my passion and life’s work – in service of the Divine feminine, Mumma Earth and her plant medicines, to hold space and share this powerful medicine with my sisters
